Guy Vandenbranden Silk screen print
Guy Vandenbranden (1926 – 2014) was one of Belgians most influential abstract artists. Initially Vandenbranden’s abstract assemblages , reliefs and objects, with a sober color and many shades of gray. In the late fifties he came to pure abstract- geometric paintings which he wanted to let the artistic expression only determine by visual means himself : line, surface and color. His paintings were chromatically complex, without leaving the rigid geometric lines.
The brightly colored surfaces in combination with wide black lines show his works an emotional charge. This Silk screen is a typical example of this period. This silk screen is numbered 70/100. It is in very good condition whilst a small stain in the right upper corner. It is framed and ready to go.
