Celebrating their 100th birthday in 2013, Pastoe is an icon in Dutch design Furniture. Founder Fritz Loeb decided to manufacture his own chairs in 1913 which resulted in a quickly expanding furniture factory; the Utrechtse Machinale Stoel -en Meubelfabriek (USM).

Pastoe’s philosophy stands for simplicity, quality and timelessness. Nevertheless all their products have a contemporary feel and they succeed to stay this way. It is not before long that Pastoe attracts renowned designers who strive on durable aestetics and a high quality standard. Pastoe manages to attract influential designers like Cees Braakman, Maarten Van Severen, Vinent Van Duysen and Karel Boonzaaijer throughout the years.

This passion results in comfortable and easy on the eye, never intrusive and even remarkably familiar items. Pastoe is still going strong, and we hope to enjoy their designsolutions for many years to come.

“Timelessness and sustainability are always my starting points”
