Ninaber van Eyben, born in 1950 in the Netherlands, graduated at from the College of Art in Maastricht as a jewellery designer. After his studies his career took a turn by designing industrial manufactures objects. In the 70s he became known for designing his wristwatch, his neckwatch and his magnificent fluorecent TL lamp. By now these items have found their way to several musea.
But real fame came when he designed a new coin series for the Netherlands in the 80s, and the Dutch side of the Euro coin in the nineties.
In 1997, the office’Bruno Ninaber van Eyben design’ arose with falling back on their former core function; create and develop high-quality design products in own management.
Since 2003 Bruno is professor of Design at the Delft University of Technology.
